He made the remarks at the ongoing consultation meetings on the FM Band refarming exercise with different stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere is a future that is seen through the FM Band Refarming exercise. The broadcasting industry is a serious business and needs to be protected,\u201d he said. Today MACRA and the task force were meeting media institutions namely; Misa Malawi, Media Council of Malawi and the Association of Women in Media (AWOME).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The refarming exercise which is being conducted through a taskforce comprising MACRA staff and engineers from the broadcasting industry is expected to be finalized by December 2023.
